Period delay tablets are typically suitable for women aged 16 to 50 who wish to delay their period for a variety of reasons.

Women with predictable menstrual cycles may find these particularly effective, as the tablets need to be started three days before the expected period.

There are a number of reasons you may not be eligible for these tablets, such as:

• Pregnant or breastfeeding patients

• Those with a known hypersensitivity to a previous dose of the tablet

• Patients with deep vein thrombosis

• Liver problems

• Sex-hormone dependent malignancies

• hypertension

When you come in for the consultation, our pharmacist will conduct a risk assessment to determine if it is safe for you to receive the tablets.

Once we confirm there are no contraindications or reasons to postpone, we will proceed with providing you with the required tablets.

The tablets can cost up to £60. Cost may vary depending on number of tablets required and are appropriate.
